WORTH IT or THROW IT: BAREMINERALS ORIGINAL SMOOTHING FACE PRIMER

Hello lovelies, we are going to discuss bareMinerals. This is the first time I try this brand out. This is part of LookFantastic Beauty box. The good things about subscribing for beauty box is I could get to try on the new product before purchasing the actual size that will cost me more if the product is not suitable for my skin.

I personally weigh for base makeup more than palette or other makeup.

Therefore, I often search for primer than high coverage foundation. The very tricky stuff about base makeup is when the primer is not compatible with the foundation and setting powder too. Then your makeup will feel so rough or even greasy. Overusing moisturiser that hardly blend into your skin may also cause makeup look to gone wrong.

The key is to use a little bit of moisturiser and let it sit for about 20 minutes before primer application. You also need to massage your face so that all the skincare blend perfectly. You also need to find out partner for your foundation, primer and setting powder by simply testing it out.

INGREDIENTS:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Silica, Magnesium Silicate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract.

DIRECTIONS:

Apply one pump of primer over the face. Follow with foundation.

The bare minerals primer has a really thick texture that I love. I also use this alongside with setting powder this day. The pump applicator makes it easier for me to just use enough amount of this primer. It does have a really smooth finishing and no skin breakout occurs. The primer is silicone base with satin finishing. But, every base makeup finishing is depending on what type of foundation and setting powder that you use. Primer may have played a small part for total finishing. I have been testing out matte foundation with a water base that does not go along together, my makeup turned into semi-matte. However, I have not yet tried out matte foundation or primer with satin or illuminating primer/foundation just yet. Therefore, it is really significant to know exactly what you want and then purchase the product, not following the trends.
