USE IT OR LOSE IT: SECRET KEY starting treatment essence ROSE EDITION review

More for First Time Essence that is being popularized by SK II, if you know about Galactomyces (Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate) or Pitera, this essence also contain the ingredients. The ingredients makes every essence to use the term ‘First Treatment Essence’ and Secret Key decided to use another wording called ‘Starting Treatment’, it just play out of English wording.

Galactomyces (Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate) or Pitera is certain yeast that being fermented and believe can be use as anti aging, and skin nourishing magic liquid, however this ingredients is not yet proven from scientific view to be able to deliver that benefit to the skin, except from Parent company of SK II (PG company) that made a confirmation about this ingredients could potentially help skin cause contain lots of moisturizer that could help to reduce skin damage. They also found that the ingredients could help to increase hyaluronan and have anti oxidant effects.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

There is no specific explanation nor do I found any website of Secret Key but the retail website that sell this product. If you located in Singapore, you can buy this product on Shopee app. This is the ROSE EDITION. There is the original one but I covered on this article just only the ROSE EDITION. There is no fragrance in ROSE edition, that’s good.

INGREDIENTS

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Dipropylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Acorus Gramineus Root/Stem Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Adenosine.

HOW TO USE

Use after C serum and hyaluronic acid, never forget to wash your face before applying your skincare routine. You can always add up more essence, if you feel this is not enough.

Product packaging

The box is made of thick that appear to me as a good quality. The packaging appear to me as having a feel of high end brands. The bottle made of thick glass that is quite heavy and will scatter, if you drop it. I think they use this kind of bottle because they want to sustain the ingredients performance since exposure it’s not advisable when skincare brands try to develop essence using pitera. The rose edition has roses emblem into the bottle in gold color, love it!

The liquid is clear bright and not sticky at all, however, the fermentation ingredients can be feel once it touched your skin. There is a cooling feels when I apply to my skin. This is probably the part where calming redness and inflammation work. It absorbed so quickly into my dry skin, also I am loving the fact that this has no fragrance involves. To be honest, it’s so rare to find K-beauty without fragrance these days.

FINAL THOUGHT

This essence actually works better than MISSHA First Treatment Essence. It tightens my skin elastic helps, help brighten my skin, smooth my skin and also reduce the appearance of small pimples around my cheek. I have not suffered from any skin breakout from the first time I use until you read this post because I still using this product. However, my skin condition is dry, dehydrated, sensitive with adult acne — using this essence alone is not helping with my skin, so I added another essence from HADA LABO premium essence. However, if you have oily to a normal skin condition, I guess using this alone is enough. You can always add more essence if you feel less.

PITERA — I don’t believe this ingredient even thou it is already proven by PG scientific result, yet none of the other brands really use this particular ingredient. I feel that Secret Key may also use other ingredients that work alongside to help Pitera achieve its result because these ingredients alone are not helping as I try Missha Time Revolution essence. To believe that fermented ingredients will bring good results is not my style as a beauty reviewer to believe such as marketing gimmick but if it is proven for certain product such as Secret Key, I will believe that this product only that deliver such as good result using fermented ingredients, I may have tested the other product all over again to prove it.

Update as 7 June 2019: I supply at home 3 bottle of this essence. I freaking love it.

You need to use the essence alongside with your other skincare around your neck toward your breast area because that area will be exposed more to the environment without us noticing it, especially if you like to use V neck or bikini.
