As I get back to Singapore, I was in the lookout for best lash lift service around the town and I chances upon Chio Studio on Instagram advert as I scroll down. I see that they provide nails and lash services. I feels that they are more toward nails art and lashes extension than lash lift. Yet, I really wanna do lash lift since my sister already done it and it looks so good.
I also feel reluctant to do lashes extension as I know that lashes extension have to be attached alongside with real lashes and that’s cause me thinking what if my lashes fall off because it so easy. As you may know that the glue also could cause itchiness and I cannot rub my eyes if I put lash extension.
So, I went to the Chio Studio on Monday 5 may, it is a public holiday. I already confirmed that they will open during the public holiday by 10.00 am, yet when I arrived, I have to wait till 10.40 which is more than half hours for the staff to open the door. I feel a bit reluctant to continue engaging with the srvice yet I done it.
The place is not so easy to find for someone like me who less going to the location but it is nearby bugis Kuan Yin temple. I planned to visiti after I done the lashlift, eat lunch and then back home.
The place is around bars and restaurant. There is small pathwalk that I have to go as I search the number. They rented or owned 2 big room with 2 storey in total but open only 1. First floor is for manicure and pedicure, while second floor is for lashes service (e.g: lash lift and lash extension)
The room decoration is so cozy, and they put CHIO logo around the cashier. You can see on the picture. I love the second storey decoration. It feel dreamy. Below image is the first floor, I can’t capture the second floor as I rushing to lay in the bed and do the services.
The services by the staff is really good. She is friendly too. At first, she uses Bioderma to cleans my eyelids and then she do the lash lift. As you can see below:
The final result is not in my own satisfaction, my lashes is not lift at all and I guess the lashes cream that they uses is not working for my lashes. I notice they use the same lashes cream with the other beauty service provider that I went nearby my home. This lash cream will not work around my lash but the staff try to do it twice yet it is still not lift at all. I think she know about it and she felt a little bit awkward as she cheer me with saying
“You put lash mascara, it will look gorgeous”
But I know it won’t. It is not her fault, and it is also not the fault of the lash cream but it is my lashes that doesn’t want this lash cream.
I know this because lashes work similar with hair. Some hair coloring product could work marvelously in our hair but it is not gonna work in other people. So, all I could say it’s depending on whether it is matches with us. It doesn’t matter whether it is expensive or cheap. Some cheap stuff does work with me.
I am sharing this to you, to let you know NOT to blame the beauty services provider because some things just doesn’t work out. Simply because it is not for us, but we can try to look other who will worked for us. There is other girl who also done lash lift and it worked for her lash but not me.
So, in the future I will try to ask about the lash curl cream first before I agreeing to engage with the services, also explain why I am asking about it. I will explain thorughly about this kind of cases in my next article.
