IMPRESSION: CAROLINE HIRONS PIXI BEAUTY DOUBLE CLEANSING — F e l i c c i n e
Hey lovelies, I have been really late to give you this review. I have to manage all of the stuff and moving back again to Singapore, Yeaaay! finally the flying adventure has come to an end. I personally dislike my 2.5 years living as nomadic. I don’t really like living that way, and jobless but finally I have a job and can buy lots of beauty products that I found trending on social media. so, give me a shout and tell me which product you find it interesting, I will do the check! beep me on [email protected], also you can always ask me anything about the product as long as it is related to the product on my blog or Instagram. I would love to connect with you.
The skincare expert Caroline Hirons is a woman that I look for, she is funny, interesting and just look at her skin. She is also straightforward and always advice all woman of double cleansing, SPF, lock-in moisturizer, Retinol and so many others. I like reading her blog and watch her YouTube review.
PIXI BEAUTY is actually can be categorised as drugstore brands. For those of you who are living in South East Asia or another part of the world where brands like PIXI Beauty are being set up as high-end brands, it is not a high-end brand. That’s actually part of marketing strategy. By placing a brand in certain places, the company could adjust the price. Do note, that I don’t mean the company from the brands but the company in the country who managed the brands.
So, when PIXI actually come to Singapore and Indonesia, being placed in the Sephora store. I was clearly a shock, not to mentioned that when I see Milani Cosmetics price, I could cry in an instance.
Double cleansing is a must-step if you really want to cleanse your skin and also do exfoliation. Let’s say that you wear makeup, and you need to cleanse it. The first step will be using either cleansing balm or oil. Why? because cleansing balm/oil will remove dirt and makeup without making your skin dry. It also gives moist to your skin. it gives pH balances for your skin. Step 2 will be the cream cleanser that removes the excess dirt from the cleansing balm/oil, and voila! your skin is really clean BUT with moist and pH balance.
many people asked me, why the need for 2 cleansings, if 1 is enough. 2 cleanse may make dry skin become even drier. Here the things that you really need to take note. The cause of drier skin is because:
- You use a cleanser that contains ingredients that make your skin feeling tighter, and you thought that it is already clean when it doesn’t and next morning you get lots of bumps in your skin, and again your thought is because of the face cream or essence or any new product that you just buy when actually those products may give your dry skin more benefit, yet you don’t realize it since you already use this cleanser a very long time, ahem the wrong cleanser for a very long period.
- The bumps happened because your cleanser not doing enough cleanse or cleanse thoroughly and you use the new cream or serum or any new product, it reacts to the dirt and clogged the pores then voila breakout just happened
So, it is really important to know that cleansing is the very first and crucial step to make your skin brighten, flawless, plumping, healthy and among that all is CLEAN with moist.
You can understand more about double cleansing by clicking article below:
Unique 2-in-1 cleanser created by Caroline Hirons, with solid cleansing oil and a luxe cleansing cream for the ultimate double cleanse.
Skin-Loving Ingredients
Solid Cleansing Oil
*Oil Vitamin E — Protects & conditions
*Camellia Oil — Omega rich & nourishes
*Evening Primrose Oil — Heals & moisturizes
Cleansing Cream
*Vitamin C — Promotes collagen & protects
*Peptide Complex — Line relaxing & plumping
*Arginnie — Improves cell renewal & elasticity
The solid cleansing oil easily breaks down and removes dirt, makeup and sunscreen while the cleansing cream cleanses and conditions as a prep for the next steps in your skincare regimen.
I usually use HadaLabo Cleansing oil or HEIMISH ALL BALM CLEANSER and then use a cream cleanser, however I am still confused of choosing the right cream cleanser, that’s also why I never suggest any cream cleanser yet.
The double cleanse is really making my skin 10% better in performance but it doesn’t reduce my skin redness. I still need to use a serum to reduce it. Also, I love the balm because it is actually hard and melt when I mixed it with water. The cream cleanser is still giving extra moist and it feels like I use face cream. Both of the product is the real deal of cleansing. It is a real cleanser.
I guess from the time being I will stick to PIXI BEAUTY Caroline Hirons Double Cleansing. No wonder! so many skincare junkies suggest me this product to try on. Just for your info, I have dry, dehydrated, sensitive, acne-prone and mature skin.
My skin is really fussy and most people think that I have flawless skin, because they cannot see any bumps but to achieve this there are lots of journeys to walk on. It is not about the money because my skin doesn’t recognize $100 buck of skincare product nor does it notice about popular brands but ingredients. Most of the product that works for my skin is less than $50.00 — this makes me feel so relieved.
