Hello lovelies, welcome again for another product review of MONUskin Professional Skincare. This time they allowed me to try out there newest product of recovery balm. Since the first product I have been try out up till now. There is no problem and in fact I love this brand so much because my skin love it very much. Each of their product has build up my skin layers and it reduce the chances of my skin irritation.
Let me share with you my skin condition, so you will get the slight ideas hwo this product work in my skin. I have dry, sensitive, dehydrated, acne prone skin. To tell you more, each of my skincare to build up layer to avoid my skin to dehydrated and recover my dry skin will have the potentiality to makes my skin having small pimples or even big stone like acne. So I have to be very careful when layering my skincare because more will make big stone like acne appearing while less will make small pimples appearing.
My story with MONUSkin
In other people eyes or your eyes, you will see that my skin is really good but by fact, I alone study my skin condition. On 2018, my skin always makes acne stone like around my jaw. It is always appearing around tha area, and I am really annoyed because it does give me headache. I use 2 type of acnes and even trying to make my acne dry out by using glycolic acid.
Until one day, I try to restart all my skincare. That’s when I rarely put review on this blog anymore because in order to make a review. I have to test it out and breakout often happened, when I try to do skincare layering. So, that’s also the reason you probably won’t find any new skincare review but selected brands.
I have been using MONUskin since end of 2018. At first LookFantastic sending me a wrong skincare from MONUSkin. The product is for combination skin then MONUskin alone contact me to try their product and they seems very promising to say to me that my skin will be suitable. They in fact doesn;t pay me a dim to share this review or even their product because they are confidence it will solve my skin problem. So I did trym you can find out all of their product that I have try on this link, but even thought I said that I am suitable with their products, that’s when I am still not 30 years old.
Time moves so does my skin. I am trying to sustain my skin to look brighter and healthy. By fact, my effort to sustain has been worth it. In my 30 years old, I have less wrinkles and plumping skin with less acne but 1–2 whitehead or small pimples now. Thanks to Rectanyl (Tretinoin 0.05% prescribed by my dermatologist). Blackcurrant
Blackcurrant Seed Oil is particularly high in gamma linolenic essential fatty acid, particularly Omega 6 and Omega 3. Called “essential” because our body cannot reproduce them, they form part of the lipid layer and are vital for healthy skin. They help prevent skin dryness, restore optimal moisture balance and maintain the skin’s barrier function.
Evening Primrose Oil
Evening Primrose oil is rich in Gamma Linolenic essential fatty acid, particularly Omega 6. Called “essential” because our body cannot reproduce them, they form part of the lipid layer and are vital for healthy skin. They help prevent skin dryness, restore optimal moisture balance and maintain the skin’s barrier function.
Bergamot Essential Oil
Bergamot is an essence taken from the peel of a Mediterranean citrus fruit. Its delightful fresh fragrance has an uplifting and calming effect.
Cassia Alata Leaf Extract
From a Tropical habitat, this extract has developed a powerful defence mechanism. This compound helps to protect mitochondrial DNA from degradation. It supports the cell’s natural repair system by combating the harmful effects of the sun.
Marine Peptide
From the seaweed Enteromorpha compressa. This material works with the skin’s neuromediators, helping to block the message telling the skin cells to over-react to stress. It has a soothing action and improves the comfort of thin, sensitive and dry skin. It helps to reduce skin tightening, stinging and reddening.
Rose
This special oil has a gentle, floral aroma that is extremely mood enhancing. It is used in skincare when treating sensitive skin and can also lift the spirits. Only a little of this essence is required, as its perfume is intense.
Shea Butter
This is fat extracted from the kernels of the African tree. Aids absorption of active ingredients and leaves a protective film on the skin.

The only things that I dislike about this product is I need to layer it with other skincare, and it asked to be layer up with another cream. Which I currently using Cetaphil body and cream because it is gentle and suitable for my current skin condition. It does give me enough moisturiser for a whole day and whole night, where Ioften under the bright sun or air conditioning room. It does make protect my skin by creating layer of moisturiser barrier.
The layering creation is made by Korean beauty blogger and it is recommended for those who have dry, dehydrated skin. In fact, this solution work for my skin but, the layer I can create is only 4 layers. I have tried to create 12 to 15 layers, you can read the whole article on article below: There is product list and table that you can use as reference.
This balm does not cover to hydrate your skin but moist only. Even the moist is not as rich but simply enough for my skin. Upon using this product there is small bump happened during the first week of using but I continue to use it to see if my skin will adapt to new skincare since it is been longtime I try to put new skincare into my routine. For your information, when you use a new skincare it is common to have pimples problem, you may want to either stop or continue.
However, during the 2nd week, the pimples gone then I continue using it till now, it is entering the 2nd month. Normally, your skin will react negatively toward new skincare during the 2nd month, if this is happened that’s actually mean it is not mean for you even if the skincare is hell expensive.
The applicator is pump, the good things about the applicator made by this brand. The pump will slow push the cream as you pump it. It is an expensive pump bottle and it is good to sustain the benefit of the cream. This is what MONUskin is good. They know how to package their skincare so you can use it as it is just brought back from their own lab. The product has travel from UK to Indonesia my hometown. It took 1 month, but the feel it is like a new skincare still. Nothing has changes with the consistency of cream. Since I have been using their produts for quite sometimes.
You will notice the changes of your skincare after you ourchased and they deliver into your door. The smell, and the color. If the smell is too strong and not nice to your nose or the cream is discoloration then you need to contact their customer service.
We all have to deal with online shop these days during the pandemic. Logistics industry has to deal with lots of pressure since the demand is higher than usual. It is common to have your product shipped so late but I feel that all logistic company these days has been trying their best with the situation that we are facing.
It is better and advisable to buy in bulk quantity to ship together with a single purchase than have to buy it one by one, since your skincare will only start expiring once your open the packaging and use it. You can always store it in fridge if you are afraid if your skincare products condition change.
